Mlečni zdrob s presenečenjem / Dairy grits with a twist

Imate radi mlečni zdrob (jaz mu pravimo kar gris)? Jaz ga imam zelo!
Priprava je zelo preprosta in kar je najpomembnejše, zelo hitra. Včasih pa se mi vseeno lušta malo eksperimentirati. Po hitrem pregledu spleta, sem kaj kmalu naletela na popolen recept, kako si lahko svoj gris malo poživim. V bistvu se samo malo razlikuje od normalne priprave, poleg mleka dodaš enako količino smetane(kar lahko odišaviš  z rožmarinom, kot je navedeno v tem receptu, mogoče s kakšno limonino, pomarančno lupino, cimetom,.. lahko je tudi brez dodanega okusa). V to vmešamo zdrob, in smo že skoraj tam.

Vonj rožmarina mi je na začetku kuhanja oddajal premočne vonjave, zato sem nekaj vejic odstranila, vendar sem kasneje ugotovila, da se vonj rožmarina kar izgubi, ko se sladica ohladi, tako da le pustite rožmarinu, da razvije svoj vonj.  Kombinacija bele čokolade in rožmarina je namreč nova, vendar nadvse dobrodošla sprememba.

Bela čokoladna krema z rožmarinom in granatno jabolko
Sestavine:
250 ml mleka
250 ml sladke smetane
4 vejice svežega rožmarina
50 g pšeničnega zdroba
120 g bele kuverture (bela čokolada)
1 granatno jabolko
sladkor za posip

V kozici zavrite mleko, smetano in rožmarin, odstavite in pustite stati 30 minut. Ponovno segrejte, precedite in nato zavrite. Z metlico vmešajte zdrob in kuhajte na majhni vročini 3 minute. Vmešajte narezano kuverturo in jo raztopite.
V majhne posodice nalijte čokoladno maso in nanjo položite prozorno folijo, da se pri hlajenju ne naredi skorja. Krožnike postavite v hladilnik za 3 ure.
Ko se ohladi, potresite s sladkorjem in skaramelizirajte (lahko daste v pečico pod gril, ali s posebnim gorilnikom), zraven servirajte še nekaj zrna granatnega jabolka.

White chocolate cream with rosemary and pomegranate
Do you like Dairy grits? Well i love it.
It`s so simple to do, and it takes literally no time at all.This version is very similar, we just add the same amount of cream that we do milk, we flavour the milk/cream mixture with rosemary (you could flavour it with anything else that your harts desires; cinnamon, zest of a lemon, or orange,…). Basically that’s that, I just caramelized the cream with sugar, and added a few pomegranate seed, for freshness. The result was a new combination of flavours, that work really well.

Ingredients:
1 cup / 250 ml milk
1 cup / 250 ml whiping cream
4 little branches of rosemary
50 g wheat meal
120 g white chocolate
1 pomegranate
sugar for caramelization

Boil the milk, cream and rosemary. Put it aside for about 30 min. Heat it up again a little, then strain it, then bring it to a boil one more time. At this point add in the wheat meal and stir for about 3 min. Add the chocolate and stir it well until it dissolves. Pour the cream in little ramekins and cover them with plastik wrap, so that they don`t get any crust. Put it in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours. Sprinkle it with sugar and caramelize it with a torch or under the grill. Serve it with some pomegranate seed.
