680 g ingverja
680 g limon (oz. približno toliko kot ingverja ;D)
300 g želirnega sladkorja (2:1)

Ingver olupite in narežite na male kocke. Limone stisnite in precedite. Ingver zmeljite v mešalniku,za lažje mletje dodajte kakšno žlico vode. Zmešajte skupaj želirni sladkor in ingver ter kuhajte 3-4 min. Odstavite in po 5 min dodajte limonin sok. Napolnite sterilizirane kozarce (najboljši so manjši kozarci, saj jih ob odprtju lahko hitro porabite) in dobro zaprite.

Ginger gam
The weather conditions here in Slovenia have been very drastic these couple of weeks, to say the least. Every thing was frozen, the forest and the electricity cables suffered the most damage. The electricity cables were damaged to the point where almost half of the Slovenes didn’t have electricity for days, some still don´t have it and it has been more than a week. I guess we were lucky because we didn’t have electricity for 4 days, but for me it seemed like a life time. It was cold, dark and annoying, but hopefully it will be better now. To avoid getting sick I cooked some ginger jam. I eat it with a spoon, I put it in my tee, and soon I will make a dessert with it, so it is very versatile. It is also very easy and quick to make, and because you can´t eat a lot of it, it will last you a long time, or at least during the cold weather😉

Recipe
(I adjusted it to the weight of the ginger I had)
680 g ginger
680 g lemons
300 g gelling sugar (2:1)

Peel the ginger, cut it in to small pieces and mix it. To help the mixing you can add a tsp of water. Squeeze the lemons and filter the juice. Mix the ginger with the gelling sugar and cooked for 3.4 min. Remove from heat, wait a few minutes than add the lemon juice. Fill your jars and seal tight.
